Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

You may be a late-diagnosed Autistic adult—relieved to finally understand yourself, yet grieving years of feeling unseen. Masking helped you survive in an unfriendly world that’s not built for your brain, but it leaves you drained and unsure who you really are. You long for more peace, better ways to manage sensory and social exhaustion, and find real connection.

Or maybe you’re an Adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK), caught between worlds, feeling the weight of missing people and places, and trying to find a sense of ‘home’ again. All you know is this is not it. Life feels heavy and lonely these days, and you’re not sure why you can’t just ‘snap out of it’. You’re looking for connection, purpose, and belonging.

Hi! I’m Mati.

(Pronounced ‘Maddy’, pronouns: she/her/hers)

Thanks for stopping by. I’m an Adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK) and a neurodivergent affirming Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. I graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016, and for the past 10 years I've been supporting individuals in counseling and education.

I grew up bouncing around between South America, the U.S., East Africa, and France—always the “new kid,” carrying a mix of identities, languages, and experiences. Those gave me lots of practice in making new friends, over and over again. They also taught me what it takes for a place to feel like ‘home’, and gave me a deep respect for the many different ways a life can be lived.

Through those experiences, I learned that our truest selves don’t always fit neatly into the boxes of what we’re “supposed” to be or do. That’s why I’m passionate about supporting other ATCKs and newly diagnosed Autistic adults navigate identity, belonging, and authenticity. Whether you’re learning to feel at home in your own skin for the first time or rebuilding life on your own terms, I walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story. My goal is to help you create a life that feels authentic, sustainable, and deeply your own. Learn more about me here.
